Peppercorn Rent played for us for the first time in the Autumn and impressed us so much that we've invited them back as our main guests on 15 March.
They are impossible to label under any one musical genre - suffice to say they have great original and refreshing material and incorporate a broad range of musical talents. In support we're pleased to announce a return visit from Del Browne who gave us a well-received set with fellow Little Rock band member, Miguel, at the Acoustic Zone in January. This will be a taster for Little Rock's appearance in June. Completing the line-up we welcome Jim Kane for his first appearance at the Green Fair Music Club. Folk fans will have enjoyed Jim's performances in Leytonstone, Walthamstow and other folk clubs and will know he always selects great songs to sing and play. Another great collection of talent - hope to see you.

Coming up:
Acoustic Zone at the RAFA Club Friday 5 April Sweet 'n' Lowdown and The Rainwater Lodgers
GFMC at Ilford Sports Club Friday 19 April The Spangles Gang plus support

Best wishes

Listening to Ilford North: 7 Mar 2013

During 2013 Lee Scott MP intends to hold a series of meetings for local residents on the theme ‘listening to Ilford North’. The first meeting is in March, so as to avoid the worst of the bad weather, and is hosted by Barkingside 21 as follows:

Thursday 7th March 2013, 7:30pm – 9:30pm
Aldborough Room, Fullwell Cross Library

Each will have a panel composed of Lee, the Leader of the Council and one other local Councillor. These are not intended to be ‘political’ meetings as there is no election to fight at the moment. The aim is to allow local residents to raise significant local and national issues and to get answers on the night. Lee takes the view that it would be helpful to hear at firsthand the concerns of the widest cross section of our community.

The aim is to hold these on Thursday evenings to allow maximum level of local participation.
