22 May 2014: Redbridge Recycling Event

Redbridge council will be organising a major recycling initiative on Thursday 22 May 2014 at centres all over the borough. Every registered Redbridge resident over the age of 18 will be invited and the events take place all day from 7:00am to 10:00pm, so there is plenty of time for you to re-organise your daily routine without getting cross.

The Town Hall Offices and most schools will be closed to allow officers and teachers to host an event within walking distance of your home. Personal invitations will be dropping onto doormats shortly before the due date so keep a look out – you don’t want to throw it out with all the takeaway menus, political leaflets and other unsolicited rubbish that comes through your letter box and miss the opportunity to make your mark.

Redbridge council - a cleaner, greener borough.

We are aware that Redbridge Labour asked for such a meeting to be organised by Redbridge Council, which would have been cross-party, but this was vetoed by the other parties. However, we do feel it necessary to advise our readers that this public meeting is open to them.
