13 Sep 2014: Street Party at The Duke, #Wanstead

Details from The Duke:

"We are having a street party and everyone is invited!

Finishing up the Wanstead Fringe Festival in style, we are closing off our corner of Nightingale Lane, decking it with bunting and straw bales, inviting some of our favourite brewers, bands and entertainers along and giving a massive 'whoopah' to all things Wanstead with a our own mini festival of eating, drinking and family fun.

Kicking off at Midday with all eyes on our tinier neighbours we invite Little Dukes far and wide to join us for some storytelling, another of our really popular science demonstrations from Prof. Peters and oodles of yummy LD friendly snacks.

Ale lovers won't want to miss our 'Meet The Brewer' hour where we'll get to learn a little bit about our favourite brews and taste more than a little bit along the way.

The Dukebox takes centre stage just after lunch when a full afternoon of some of our favourite acoustic musicians will get us in the mood for what we hope will be the biggest sing song Wanstead has seen as Double Bass Dan sees out the day at 7pm.

The fun doesn't stop at sun down mind you, we just take it (and Double Bass Dan) inside!

Did we say EVERYONE is welcome!"

Saturday 13th September 2014.

Welcome back to our first workshop after a short summer break which is being supported by the
