Redbridge Local Forum
Wednesday 22 July 2015
6pm to 8:45pm
Karamsar Centre (formerly the Ilford County Court Building)
Buckingham Road, Ilford, IG1 1TP

These forums are the new community engagement meetings which replace Area Committees. There is no formal agenda.

· Problems in your local area?
· Want to get involved to change things?

Come to a Local Forum and talk to us about ideas and issues in your local area. Raise questions and concerns about Council services that affect you.

Local Forum meetings will be held every month at venues across the Borough.
There will be two parts to each Local Forum: a Market Place and a Question Time. Most Local Forums will be held in the evening and occasionally some will be held in the day.

Market Place (6-7pm)
The first part of the Local Forum is the Market Place. You can browse stalls staffed by Council officers and Councillors to discuss issues that affect you, including planning, litter, parking, benefits and housing.
Partners including the Police, Neighbourhood Watch, Liberty Credit Union, HealthWatch and local voluntary sector groups will also be at the Market Place.

Question Time - 7:15pm
The Market Place will be followed by a more formal Question Time, where you can put questions to Councillors and senior Council officers. Questions can be submitted in advance using the form at www.redbridge.gov.uk/localforums or asked on the night.

9-11 Jul 2015: Fairy-tale Finders in Ilford

Teatro Vivo
in association with Vision-Redbridge Culture & Leisure
present

Fairy-tale Finders

Valentines Mansion & Gardens, Valentines Park, Emerson Road entrance,
Ilford IG1 4XA
Thursday 9th July – Saturday 11th July

“It’s a show that brings a smile to the face as it celebrates the power of storytelling. “ - The Guardian

Calling all Fairy-tale Finders! The Brothers Grimm need your help to find as many tales as you can...
Teatro Vivo want to take you on an adventure to the unknown where you may seek out a desperate Prince Charming, a very hungry Wolf or a rather wet Frog Prince. But beware of Snow White's wicked stepmother, she can be very demanding and be sure to stop by for a chance to dance with the Musicians of Bremen.

A fun filled adventure for fairy-tale loving families with the chance to meet some of these famous characters telling their version of the stories that we all know and love in some unusual places and inventive spaces.

As part of their tenth anniversary year, Teatro Vivo have bveen invited back to Redbridge to recreate last years succesful theatre show. As a company they transform much loved stories into theatrical adventures,
collaborating with communities and audiences to turn everyday environments into magical
worlds. For fearless, spontaneous and responsive theatre, Teatro Vivo are like no other theatre company with their signature brand of “theatre where you least expect it”.

By working with a community chorus, they embed themselves in the localities in which they
perform, as well as offering those involved professional training and performance opportunities.

It is this commitment to local audiences and people that has seen them create Shakespeare in supermarkets, search for Odysseus in the streets and shops of Deptford and take audiences from all around the country down a rabbit hole to Wonderland.

Please note that this is a promenade performance - all hunters are requested to wear a stout
pair of boots and clothes suited to the climate for who knows where these stories will take us...
