Fabula Festival is a two-day celebration which will take over Redbridge Central Library from Saturday 24 October to Sunday 25 October. It is a celebration of libraries and the arts and the library will be hosting a wide range of events for Adults, Teens and Children!

Included will be a visit from Sander Jakobsen (a pseudonym for two co-authors) talking about their new novel The Preacher which is from the genre Nordic Noir, that's Scandinavian Crime thrillers - very popular here in the UK apparently. They will be in conversation with Amanda Hopkinson, one of the UK's top experts on translation and Scandinavian crime. Cost is £5 book here.

These forums are the new community engagement meetings which replace Area Committees. There is no formal agenda.

· Problems in your local area?
· Want to get involved to change things?

Come to a Local Forum and talk to us about ideas and issues in your local area. Raise questions and concerns about Council services that affect you.

Local Forum meetings will be held every month at venues across the Borough.
There will be two parts to each Local Forum: a Market Place and a Question Time. Most Local Forums will be held in the evening and occasionally some will be held in the day.

Market Place (6-7pm)
The first part of the Local Forum is the Market Place. You can browse stalls staffed by Council officers and Councillors to discuss issues that affect you, including planning, litter, parking, benefits and housing.
Partners including the Police, Neighbourhood Watch, Liberty Credit Union, HealthWatch and local voluntary sector groups will also be at the Market Place.

Question Time - 7:15pm
The Market Place will be followed by a more formal Question Time, where you can put questions to Councillors and senior Council officers. Questions can be submitted in advance using the form at www.redbridge.gov.uk/localforums or asked on the night.

Come and join Redbridge Faith Forum's Multi-faith Walk to visit different faith venues and hear
how faith communities care for and take responsibility for the environment and how they consider
the issue of climate change. You are welcome to join in the whole walk or join/leave at any point.
It is planned to arrive at each faith venue at the following times.

1.15pm Meet at the Buddhist Vihara at 9 Balfour Road IG1 4HP– refreshments available. (Shoes to be removed if entering the prayer room)

1.50 pm Arrive at the Salvation Army, 15 Clements Road IG1 1BH
