Rise of Fascism Across Europe

Guest Speaker will be Gerry Gable, Editor of Searchlight Magazine, the anti-fascist journal, for many years. Gerry will be talking about the rise of the far-right and fascism across Europe. There are very frightening developments happening in many European countries today.
From France to Hungary the far-right and fascist organisations have been winning support and also encouraging violent extremism against minority communities. Gerry will consider the influence these forces have in Britain and the impact that the Referendum outcome may have.

Forest Farm Peace Garden

It is an annual FFPG event featuring brilliant world music performers, along with food stalls and activities for children such as; natural messy play and crafts! There will be health and wellbeing treatments demonstrations, and free workshops will include; herbal, foraging, DR Bike - free bike repairs, pond dipping for children and many more. Bring along a picnic and a blanket and settle down for an afternoon of music and culture in the beautiful surroundings of Forest Farm Peace Garden!

Directions:
Starting from Hainault Station (on the Central Line and on bus routes 150 and 247): turn left out of the station onto New North Road, walk 2 minutes and take your first left into Hazelbrouck Gardens (IG6 2XL). Go through the two gates at the end to arrive at the Peace Garden.

From Ilford, take the 150 bus towards Chigwell Row. Get off at Trelawney Road (approx. 30mins) and Hazelbrouck Gardens will be the first street ahead of you on the right past Trelawney Road.

Redbridge Council is taking part in a new initiative to fix our relationship with electronics.

At a Restart Party you can learn how to find faults and get help to fix your small electricals and electronics with experienced repair coaches. We can help you with things like slow or damaged laptops, kettles, headphones, printers, toasters, radios and many other small and portable devices. Just bring your misbehaving item and your enthusiasm to fix – no previous experience is necessary! Don’t forget your charger or power supply and please back up your data before the event. It’s first come, first served so come early to avoid disappointment.

The Green Market is a funky, new green venture bringing together upcyclers, recyclers, environmental and craft stalls in the heart of Ilford Town Centre. A friendly, vegetarian community cafe run by volunteers bringing delicious savouries and cakes. Partnership between Ilford Recycles, Sophia Hubs and Ilford Transition Town on the 2nd Saturday of each month. Ilford Recycles is a Salvation Army social enterprise which recycles unwanted bikes and trains volunteers as bike mechanics.

Why not host your own party? In conjunction with Vision, Fairlop Heritage Group are pleased to announce that we have been
successful in getting a Hurricane flypast (*) from the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF). This will take place at 3pm, confirmed by the pilot F/Lt Antony Parkinson MBE of BBMF.
