Trailer

Transition Leytonstone introduces permaculture to Leytonstone: this design framework looks to ecosystems for inspiration, and helps guide all types of human systems toward greater ecological integration and sustainability. The word is a combination of ‘permanent’ and ‘agriculture’. The permaculture movement teaches how we might make the inevitable impact of our footprint a healing force. By partnering with ecology and biology we can build a much more secure society that future generations will be proud to take on.

The film will be followed by a Q & A with our special guest, director, Costas Boutsikaris. Costas is currently in the UK making a new crowdfunded film series called Woodlanders, documenting forest culture. The Woodlanders fundraising page is here.

21 Mar 2017: Redbridge Transport Action Group Meeting

2 – 4pm, Tuesday 21 March 2017
Fifth floor, Redbridge CVS, Forest House, 16-20 Clements Rd, Ilford IG1 1BA

The objective of this meeting is to plan our local transport access strategy and respond to Redbridge council’s budget.
During this meeting you will be able to share any transport access issues you may encounter in Redbridge.

In 2015 the Redbridge Transport action group successfully fought for, and saved the Redbridge mobility scheme. Now we plan to build on this success, and fight to protect accessible transport services from a fresh round of cuts.

The first Transport Action Group meeting of 2017 has two halves:
  • 2.00pm: Building on our previous success: Plans for 2017. What speakers would you like to hear from? What actions would you like to take? What transport issues are most important to you?
  • 2:45pm: Break
  • 3.00pm: Redbridge Council budget: What it does it mean for Transport Accessibility and How should we approach it?
  • 4.00pm: Meeting ends
Please let me know if you are coming by calling Transport for All. Redbridge CVS is an accessible venue, but should you have specific requirements, for example, a speech–to–text or a signer, please contact me by March 11th.
